Tessellator's Night Out

We went out on the town Thursday night before the convention - going to Hakata Ippudo in the East Village for some excellent ramen, and then to a delicious italian pastry shop who's name I can never remember. You just wander the East Village and find it by the delightful smell and the huge line of people out the door. We had 8 people, so it was wonderfully balanced and just the right size. I had a great time! (This is Jeff Rutzky and Polly Verity)

Ah the joys of cheap ramen in Japan! We had this for dinner a couple of nights. There is a packet of powdered soup, "beef" flavouring and a packet with dehydrated mystery meat, green onions, and some other dehydrated veggies.

Honestly the best ramen I've ever had. It had duck in it but I don't remember what else. Yummy ramen, yummy beer, tired girl. Happy to be heading home but heartbroken to be leaving. Taken by Christoph

Just nearby from here, I had my noodle on the street side at late night in Kyoto. Best noodle (ramen) ever. Also just for a note for myself, I remember there is a bridge nearby across the street, there are two gaijin sitting down enjoying the night watching the cars, I think that's a very cool scene. I took photos of them, but too blurry. A pity.
